This is scary because people think these things happened 70 or 100 or maybe 400 years ago but the message is today and very much the same. Hashem help us make Teshuva and help us defeat our enemies.
Zahar Claims Victory, Calls to Kill Jewish Children

(IsraelNN.com) Hamas spokesman Mahmoud Az-Zahar claimed victory for Hamas on Monday, saying Hamas had succeeded in “destroying Israel's sense of security” with its rocket attacks. Zahar made his proclamation in video footage sent from a secret hideout, where he is taking shelter in order to avoid being targeted in an IAF strike. Other Hamas leaders have gone into hiding as well.
Zahar directed his message to Hamas' troops, and promised them victory over the IDF. “We must be patient until we are victorious, Allah will help us,” he said. Hundreds of Hamas terrorists have been killed since the “Cast Lead” operation began last week, including 100 since the start of Israel's ground operation, and several of the group's senior leaders have been assassinated. Dozens have been taken prisoner as well.
The Hamas leader called to murder Israelis and Jews worldwide, including children. “The Israelis have sentenced their children to death... They have legitimized the killing of their people all over the world,” he said. Hamas' platform calls for all Jews to convert to Islam or be killed, based on an Islamic saying (Hadith), and the group has not refrained from targeting children in the past.
Hamas will destroy synagogues and Jewish schools as well, Zahar said, just as Israel destroyed mosques in Gaza. Israel bombed several mosques used to store rockets and ammunition.
Zahar suggested Hamas was prepared to seek a ceasefire, saying Hamas would discuss “whatever is good for our people.” He issued a list of demands, saying any ceasefire must include a complete end to IDF counterterrorism activities, Hamas control of the Gaza coast and the opening of Israeli crossings.
Israel has not offered Hamas a ceasefire, and Prime Minister Ehud Olmert recently said operations in Gaza would continue “until we achieve our goals.”

The American Dream
The American Dream
If you just started reading this please read the prior entries concerning this starting with the Egyptian and Roman dreams. It will make better sense.The United states Ranks # 1 in world population for Jews. There are 5,914,682 Jews in America.Israel Ranks as # 2 in the world population for Jews. There are 5,021,506 Jews in Israel.Are we chasing after another dream.The American Dream?Are we getting comfortable here?Have we become so wrapped up in the same old routine of payday and working fro a living that we have stopped living for Hashem?The sad part is that in this point in time noone is expelling us from the US ...yet. But , we are expelling ourselves. What is wrong with this picture?Has Hashem come to his end? Why are we expelling our own people. How disgraceful is that?Do you think with after the short history lesson can we finally begin Teshuva and realize that Hashem is not playing with us. He wants us back. He strove to bring an end to the isolation of the Jews so that they would be able to embrace the culture of the Western world, and in turn be embraced by gentiles as equals. The Haskalah opened the door for the development of all the modern Jewish denominations and the revival of Hebrew as a spoken language, but it also paved the way for many who, wishing to be fully accepted into Christian society, converted to Christianity or chose to assimilate to emulate it.( BIG MISTAKE)1740Ottoman authorities invite Rabbi Haim Abulafia (1660-1744), renowned Kabbalist and Rabbi of Izmir, to come to the Holy Land. Rabbi Abulafia is to rebuild the city of Tiberias, which has lain desolate for some 70 years. The city’s revival is seen by many as a sign of the coming of the Messiah. We are now going to take a look at the Spanish Dream and let'ssee where that takes us.7th centuryBirth of Islam, which, although among largely pagan Arabs, is influenced by Judaism and Christianity.The 8th century700 1250Period of the Gaonim (the Gaonic era). Jews in southern Europe and Asia Minor lived under the often intolerant rule of Christian Kings and clerics. Most Jews lived in the Muslim Arab realm (Andalusia, North Africa, Palestine, Iraq and Yemen). Despite sporadic periods of persecution, Jewish communal and cultural life flowered in this period. The universally recognized centers of Jewish life were in Jerusalem and Tiberias (Syria), Sura and Pumbeditha (Iraq). The heads of these law schools were the Gaonim, who were consulted on matters of law by Jews throughout the world.711Muslim armies invade and occupy most of Spain (At this time Jews made up about 8% of Spain's population). But the fear is that everytime we settle somewhere we get comfortable and soon lose our heritage and begin our Journey into the world outside. The world of Expulsion.Follow me on my journey through history as we look and see what happened and what will happen if we do not perform Teshuva.I am a Baal Teshuva. I have spent the last 10 years tracking my background which has pointed to the Jews of Spain. I just recently recieved oral confirmation from my dear Aunt who recently passed away confirming that we are Jews and she was the last living relative that knew.But my story goes before that. I want to go back into history and wonder if you see the same thing as I do.Please forgive some of my sarcastic comments for I do take this very seriously and broken heartedly.The Exile out of Egypt. When we think about it the need to exile was for our own safety. We had desired the Egyptian style. We saw their riches and began to assimilate. We wanted the Egyptian dream. Well we ended up hating each other, murdering each other, and also it lost us our temple. Not to mention we ended up exiled out of our own home Yerushalayim. It took us 400 years until we were able to return. Why do you think that happened? Please comment. I may be way out of the ball park here but it looks like assimilation to me. We became comfortable. Too comfortable which became our own destruction. We began to act like those around us. Killing, lying, stealing, cheating, and most worst of all forgetting Hashem. We chose the lifestyle above the life.
